Area of Science:

  • Neurosurgery
  • Surgical Oncology

Background:

  • Osteomas are benign bone tumors, with forehead osteomas often presenting cosmetic concerns.
  • Traditional surgical excision involves direct incisions or bicoronal flaps.
  • Endoscopic techniques have emerged as a promising alternative for forehead osteoma removal.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To elaborate on the surgical technique and nuances of fully endoscopic resection of frontal osteomas.
  • To highlight the advantages of the endoscopic approach for forehead osteoma excision.

Main Methods:

  • Analysis of clinical data, imaging, operative charts, and videos from a prospective database of endoscopic procedures.
  • Review of pertinent medical literature on forehead osteoma treatment.
