Summary

Lancefieldella rimae, a bacterium found in apical periodontitis, triggers alveolar bone loss by promoting osteoclast differentiation via the Toll-like receptor 2 pathway. This study identifies L. rimae as a key factor in bone resorption associated with this dental condition.
