The targeted cancer therapies, also known as “molecular targeted therapies,” take advantage of the molecular and genetic differences between the cancer cells and the normal cells. Background:

Adaptive radiation therapy (ART) enables daily adjustments to radiation plans.

A patient with locally advanced cervical cancer received definitive radiation therapy using Varian's Ethos system.
Substantial daily uterine movement was observed during treatment.

Findings:

Daily re-optimization of the radiation plan was necessary due to uterine movement.
Adaptive planning ensured adequate dose coverage to the tumor, preventing suboptimal treatment.

Implications:
