Abstract:
Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay is a standard method to examine protein-DNA interactions in vivo. Here, I describe a basic procedure for ChIP assay in rice shoot apices using an antibody against the homeodomain transcription factor Oryza sativa homeobox1 (OSH1). I also introduce the tips to overcome several obstacles when performing this assay for the first time and potential pitfalls that could impact the result.
