Abstract:
Trinitrophenylated lipopolysaccharide (TNP-LPS) at high doses (30 micrograms) induces thymus-independent IgM and IgG anti-TNP responses. At low doses (0.3 microgram) it elicits only an IgM anti-TNP response. TNP-LPS primes for a secondary response of IgG type only when given at high doses (30 micrograms): this response is thymus dependent.
