Background:

The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges to healthcare systems globally.
Nurses in clinical settings faced significant emotional and professional demands.
Understanding nurses' experiences is crucial for effective crisis response.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore nurses' experiences and responses during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
To develop a theoretical model for nursing crisis response.
To inform future pandemic preparedness strategies.

Qualitative exploratory study utilizing focus group interviews.
Thirteen focus groups (n=50) conducted with nurses and nurse leaders in South Korea (May-July 2021).
Content analysis of transcribed interviews following COREQ guidelines.
