Incidence of visual disorders in a selected population of hearing impaired students

Eighty-one hearing impaired children from the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf were referred for complete visual evaluations for one and one-half years. The results of this program indicated 64% of the children had visual disorders in the major categories of pathology, refractive prescription requirements and strabismus.
