Abstract:
Tuberculosis (TB) remains the leading cause of death from infectious diseases worldwide. Early diagnosis promotes effective treatment and reduces further transmission of TB. In recent years, with the rapid development of computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography/computed tomography with 18-fluoro-deoxyglucose (18F-FDG PET/CT), and artificial intelligence (AI), early identification of TB has been provided. This paper systematically reviews the consensus and key literature on diagnostic imaging of TB in national and international journals between October 2023 and September 2024 to improve the diagnostic and differential diagnostic imaging of pulmonary and extrapulmonary TB.
