Abstract:
Eating is essential to the survival of any living organism. However, beyond simple nutrition, eating is a source of pleasure that awakens a host of emotions and shapes our first relationships. In eating disorders, this vital process becomes a source of psychological distress, with somatic consequences and an impact on the functioning of the individual and his/her environment. Recently, new diagnostic and etiopathogenic approaches have led to a better understanding of these disorders. The use of innovative techniques, such as neuromodulation, virtual reality, and psychedelics, is paving the way for more targeted and individualized therapies.
