Background:

Transnasal endoscopy (TNE) offers a less invasive alternative for upper gastrointestinal diagnostics.
Evaluating the operational impact and patient acceptance of TNE services is crucial for service integration.

Purpose of the Study:

To assess the impact of pilot transnasal endoscopy (TNE) services on workforce efficiency, procedure times, and patient tolerance.
To identify challenges associated with establishing TNE services.

Main Methods:

A six-month data collection across ten pilot sites, including productivity, workforce, and quality metrics.
Patient experience was evaluated using an eight-Likert-style question survey.
Semi-structured interviews were conducted at pilot sites to understand implementation challenges.

Main Results:

Transnasal endoscopy (TNE) services demonstrated a 25% improvement in workforce efficiency.
78% of patients reported a better experience with TNE compared to oesophagogastroduodenoscopy.
