Anatomy:
Untreated severe tricuspid regurgitation is associated with high morbidity and poor quality of life. Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair, which requires a detailed understanding of the tricuspid valve anatomy via echocardiography, improves tricuspid regurgitation and quality of life; however, the valve leaflets and their spatial relationships can be challenging to understand, especially for residents or colleagues unfamiliar with the anatomy.
Pathology:
Untreated severe or more TR.
Imaging Correlation:
A hand model was developed to aid in teaching and simulating valve leaflet positions for better comprehension.
Treatment:
The spatial relationships between valves and the positions of their respective leaflets referred to as the sonographer's view were accurately represented, facilitating easier understanding in the tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair era.
