Ceftaroline + Rifampin Versus Vancomycin + Rifampin in the Treatment of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Ceftaroline-rifampicin (CR) and vancomycin-rifampicin (VR) were compared for treating methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) meningitis in rabbits. Both combinations showed similar effectiveness in reducing bacterial counts and apoptosis, with CR demonstrating slightly better inflammation control.
