Anti-LW masquerading as anti-D in a D+ patient

An elderly male developed anti-LW antibodies, complicating red blood cell (RBC) transfusions due to a B-lymphoproliferative disorder. Transfusions with specific RBC units were successful, resolving transfusion challenges.
