Background:

Smart aged care service platforms in China face challenges with data silos due to a lack of data standards.
This hinders effective data integration, sharing, and system functionality, impacting service quality.

Purpose of the Study:

To develop a minimum dataset (MDS) for smart aged care platforms.
The MDS aims to support real-time demand analysis, cross-regional cooperation, and establish a data resource framework.

Main Methods:

A three-phase approach was used, involving document collection, MDS structure and data element extraction.
A two-round Delphi process with 26 specialists and review by 24 institution staff refined the MDS prototype.

Main Results:

The final MDS includes 122 items (26 optional) across 6 first-level and 17 second-level categories.
Key recognized categories include nursing diagnosis, demographics, and medical history, with government regulatory data also deemed important.

Conclusions:

The developed MDS offers a standardized framework crucial for data integration and sharing in smart aged care platforms.
This standardization is vital for advancing health information management in aged care services.
