A chairside technique for addressing food impaction in implant-supported crowns

Abstract:
Food impaction is a common complication with implant-supported restorations, primarily associated with deficient proximal contact. Conventional solutions, such as adding porcelain to the restoration or remaking it to restore the contact, often require extended time and incur considerable costs for the patient. This article presents a straightforward, effective, and less-expensive chairside technique by preparing a Class II cavity in a zirconia implant-supported crown and restoring it with composite resin to re-establish the proper proximal relationship.
