Abstract:
The value-added functional modification on wood have attracted much more attention because of global consensus on low carbon and carbon reduction. Nano basic copper acetate is in situ synthesized on a wood surface successfully. The morphology of in situ grown nano basic copper acetate varies according to the wood species and cut wood sections. Furthermore, the time-dependent evolution of in situ synthesized nano basic copper acetate particles on poplar surface is first illuminated in this work. The as prepared nanoparticle simultaneously endows typical hard and soft wood with superhydrophobic function on all three sections, which also endowed desired mechanical and chemical stability, self-cleaning, and antifouling properties, as well as excellent UV durability and mold resistance. The progress of this work may start a new journey for scientific research on dual regulation between nanoparticles morphology and aimed function.
