This study introduces a new 45° inclined calibration method for redundant Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems Inertial Measurement Units (MEMS-IMUs) used in Measurement While Drilling (MWD). The method significantly reduces installation errors and improves drill string attitude measurement accuracy.
