[Health Promotion in Primary Care: Lessons from the 6^th Francophone Primary Care Group symposium]

Integrating health promotion into primary care is critical to transforming healthcare systems. While many promising initiatives exist, their sustainability and scalability remain key challenges. Major barriers include limited institutional recognition, lack of understanding by policymakers, weak evaluation culture, and undervaluation in public policies. Local solutions are essential, but require systemic support, including cross-sectoral collaboration, funding, and training. A paradigm shift is needed to empower individuals and communities. Successful integration depends on investing resources to support sustained collaboration among policymakers, professionals, and populations, and to foster an evaluation culture.
