HERV activation segregates ME/CFS from fibromyalgia while defining a novel nosologic entity

Human endogenous retrovirus (HERV) expression profiles can distinguish myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and fibromyalgia (FM). Unique HERV-immune signatures were found in ME/CFS and FM patients, offering diagnostic potential.
