In this study, we demonstrate an amorphous NiB(O) electrocatalyst for 5-hydroxymethylfurfural oxidation reaction (HMFOR). The distinctive amorphous structure of NiB(O) facilitates rapid reconstruction, accelerating HMFOR kinetics. NiB(O) exhibits a high current density of 300 mA cm-2 at a low potential of 1.44 V vs. RHE with a yield of 2,5-furanedicarboxylic acid (FDCA) exceeding 92% and a conversion rate approaching 100% during five cycles of HMFOR.
