Isoxazolines are an important class of nitrogen- and oxygen-containing heterocycles that belong to the azole family. Recently, it has gained great attention in the field of agrochemical development. However, systematic reviews on the advancements of isoxazolines containing bioactive molecules are relatively lacking. To provide insight into advancements in discovering isoxazoline-containing molecules with agrochemical activities, we systematically reviewed and summarized bioactive isoxazoline compounds based on their structural diversity and active characteristics. The brief structure-activity relationship and mechanism of action of isoxazoline-containing compounds are also discussed. This article is meant to enable researchers in the discovery of novel agrochemicals to quickly understand and provide new ideas for developing novel agrochemicals with novel structures, potent activity, and new mechanism of action.
