Visible-light-driven oxidative coupling of arylhydrazines with sulfinates catalyzed by polyoxometalates for aryl

Abstract:
This study reports a polyoxometalate-catalyzed visible-light-driven synthesis of aryl sulfones from arylhydrazines and sodium sulfinates using O2 as an oxidant. The method provides excellent stability, broad functional-group compatibility, and notably enhanced reactivity for electron-rich arylhydrazines, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional halogenated aromatic precursors.
