Abstract:
This study presents a method for metal-free visible-light-induced perfluoroalkylation of phenols, utilizing organic dyes as catalysts. The reaction demonstrates effectiveness across various phenolic compounds, including those with electron-donating substituents. In addition, we successfully synthesize bisphenol monomers through this process using diiodoperfluoroalkane.
