Abstract:
The traditional inside-out capsulotomy, commonly used in hip arthroscopy to achieve better visibility and space, involves cutting the iliofemoral ligament, leading to potential hip instability. Previous outside-in methods were complex because of the need for anatomic localization. We describe a minimally invasive outside-in technique using a spinal needle for a quick longitudinal capsulotomy, which is straightforward and easy to learn.
