This paper proposes a fractional-order memristor-coupled homogeneous model consisted of two tabu learning neurons with memristor-autapse, which can realize complex coexisting behavior and synchronization. The hidden dynamic behavior and multistability are investigated by bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponents and local attraction basin. Meanwhile, synchronization is revealed using the normalized mean synchronization errors, and it can be flexibly controlled by coupling strength and initial conditions to achieve full synchronization and phase synchronization in the periodic pattern. In particular, a sliding mode algorithm is designed to synchronize the system by adjusting control parameters. Finally, the system is implemented by ARM based micro-controller to verify the accuracy of the simulation results.
