Abstract:
While the evaluation of patients with urolithiasis typically relies on objective clinical parameters such as stone-free rates and complications, assessing patients' health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is essential for providing truly patient-centered care. This article discusses standardized generic and disease-specific questionnaires available to assess the HRQOL impact of urolithiasis and its management. These instruments are important for advancing research and the clinical care of patients with urolithiasis, ultimately improving shared decision-making and patient outcomes.
