None:
Circumscribed myositis ossificans is a benign form of heterotopic ossification typically affecting young athletes, most often following muscle trauma. Its progression occurs in three phases with well-defined clinical and radiological features, making ultrasound particularly useful for follow-up. Prevention relies on early management of muscle injuries and hematomas. Treatment is conservative, based on physiotherapy and occasionally complemented by focused shockwave therapy. Surgery is considered only in cases of persistent symptoms beyond six months.
