Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus Faecium Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis Treated with Daptomycin and Ampicillin

Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE) endocarditis is challenging. Combination therapy with daptomycin and ampicillin showed prompt bacteremia clearance but did not prevent mortality in this prosthetic valve endocarditis case.
