Meningeal mass revealing undifferentiated renal carcinoma: A case report

Leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) is a rare but serious complication of solid tumors, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC). RCC typically spreads to the lungs, bones, and liver; LM remains uncommon and indicates advanced disease with poor prognosis. Symptoms include headaches, nausea, and neurological deficits due to raised intracranial pressure. MRI is the diagnostic modality of choice. We report a 60-year-old patient with headaches and orbital pain. Imaging showed a left frontal extra-axial mass invading the bone. Biopsy confirmed RCC metastasis, with a primary renal tumor. This case highlights the role of MRI and the need to consider LM in RCC patients.
