Abstract:
We herein disclose a mild and efficient cadmium-catalyzed domino reaction for accessing 1,6-enynes via a sequential A3-coupling/1,5-hydride transfer/hydrolysis/A3-coupling. This method demonstrates the compatibility of various substrates, including aliphatic, silane-substituted, aromatic, and heteroaromatic alkynes, with the reaction system. The transformation forms two C-C bonds and two C-N bonds while cleaving one C-N bond, achieving excellent site- and chemoselectivity and high yields. Furthermore, the products readily undergo cyclization and further functionalization, highlighting the synthetic utility of this approach.
