Acromioclavicular Joint Injury: A Bibliometric Analysis of the 50 Most Cited Articles
Objectives:
This study aims to identify the 50 most influential articles on acromioclavicular (AC) joint injury, exploring research trends and treatment options.
Methods:
Utilizing the Scopus database, the 50 top-cited articles were selected based on predefined criteria and analyzed for bibliometrics, including authorship, journal, and evidence level.
Results:
From 1963 to 2021, these articles amassed 3,363 citations, primarily comprising case series with level IV evidence, published across 19 journals from eight countries.
Conclusion:
This review highlights the dynamic progression in AC joint injury management and signals the urgent need for advanced research to enhance clinical decision-making and evidence-based practices.
