Background:

The Versius® Surgical System represents a novel platform for minimally invasive urological procedures.
Evaluating its adoption and performance in new geographical regions is crucial for understanding its potential.

Purpose of the Study:

To assess the perioperative outcomes of urological surgeries using the Versius® Surgical System in Brazil.
To analyze the learning curve of surgeons utilizing this robotic platform.

Main Methods:

A prospective, multicenter study involving certified Versius® surgeons and their procedures.
Data collected included docking/console times, complications (Clavien-Dindo), readmissions, and reoperations.
Surgeons were stratified by prior laparoscopy and robotic surgery experience.

Main Results:

302 urological procedures were performed by 19 surgeons.
No significant difference in operative times was observed between obese and non-obese patients.
Low rates of severe complications (1.3%) and reoperations (2%) were reported, with a mean hospital stay of 2 days.

Conclusions:

The Versius® platform demonstrated safety and efficacy in this large Brazilian case series.
Real-world data confirmed the influence of prior surgical experience on surgeon performance and learning curves.
This study provides valuable evidence for robotic-assisted urological surgery adoption in Brazil.
