Age-Related Characteristics of Diastolic Dysfunction in Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Asymptomatic left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) is common in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Age over 65 is a significant predictor of LVDD, necessitating early echocardiographic screening in elderly T2DM individuals.
