Motion sickness is a complex physiological process, the causes and pathogenesis of which have attracted the attention of researchers for many years. The article presents the main theories of its origin in the historical aspect, as well as the modern view of the problem and clinical-diagnostic criteria developed by the Barani Society international group in 2021. Different approaches to the treatment and prevention of motion sickness are considered, including medications and a variety of behavioural measures.
