Surface-treated fumed silica enhances polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for improved carbon dioxide (CO2) separation. Optimized membranes show significantly higher CO2 permeability and selectivity over nitrogen (N2) and methane (CH4).
