Pyomyositis is a purulent infection of skeletal muscle that typically occurs in tropical climates and is more common in children and immunosuppressed patients. The most frequent causative agent is Staphylococcus aureus. Infections caused by this microorganism pose a significant challenge in clinical practice, especially in patients with comorbidities that predispose them to severe complications. We present the case of a 50-year-old male with a history of poorly controlled diabetes, obesity, and recurrent furunculosis, admitted for multiple pyomyositis caused by community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) and a prostatic abscess. The patient had a protracted clinical course, requiring a multidisciplinary approach.
