A hydrophobic-zincophilic double-ingredient interfacial layer was pre-constructed on a zinc anode. Benefiting from the polydentate coordination ability of PA and the soft, elastic nature of APTMS, this constructed protective layer efficiently suppresses the parasitic side reactions, while improving interfacial stability and ion transport kinetics of the zinc anode.
