[Health environment. Choosing greenly : implementing eco-responsible care in hospital setting]

Climate change is one of the major threats to the health of populations and a major challenge for healthcare institutions. Furthermore, healthcare is one of the human activities that emit the most greenhouse gases, with a share of 5-7% of total emissions. In this context, healthcare institutions and healthcare professionals are key players in the ecological transition. They benefit from the population confidence and their primary mission is to ensure the health and recovery of the populations they serve. This article describes a project carried out at the Geneva University Hospitals to develop a professional culture sensitive to the ecological transition.
