Abstract:
We demonstrate a photonic-assisted terahertz band real-time integrated sensing and communication system that achieves a range resolution of 1.74 cm and a data rate of 16.14 Gbps. The system employs discrete multitone (DMT) waveforms, where 16- and 64QAM modulation formats are experimentally verified. All digital signal processing (DSP) is implemented in real time on an FPGA (field-programmable gate array) platform equipped with 6-bit, 30 GSa/s DAC and ADC modules. To the best of our knowledge, this work presents the first real-time demonstration of a bidirectional photonic-assisted THz-ISAC system over 80 m.
