Summary

Plant-derived polyphenols, like geraniin and Rutan from sumac, show broad-spectrum antiviral activity. These safe compounds effectively suppress herpes simplex viruses, human cytomegalovirus, and Epstein-Barr virus, aiding pandemic preparedness.
