Summary

Three salt-resistant bacteria, identified as Agrobacterium, Aspergillus fumigatus, and Streptomyces, effectively degrade polyethylene (PE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) microplastics. This discovery offers a novel solution for microplastic pollution in salinized soils.
