Summary

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) may help detect early Alzheimer's disease (AD) by identifying retinal changes like ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) reduction, associated with amyloid beta (Aβ) brain burden. Further research is needed to confirm its clinical utility.
