Ultrathin Pd4Sn meso-macroporous nanosieves (MNSs) were synthesized, with 6.02 times higher mass activities than Pt/C for the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR). Meanwhile, they possessed an optimized d-band center, and in situ FTIR spectroscopy revealed that they followed a "non-CO" pathway. This provides a new approach for high-performance Pd-based nanocatalysts.
