Psoriatic Arthritis Publications in 2013-2023: A Bibliometric Analysis Based on Web of Science

Introduction:
The study aimed to estimate the quantity and quality of literature related to Psoriatic Arthritis (PSA) between 2013 and 2023 and to provide researchers with an overall understanding of the study and guidance for future research.
Methods:
Using the search term "psoriatic arthritis" on the Web of Science to generate the publication list, we retained original articles and reviews for analysis. The number of articles, active countries, journals, and citation data were identified, and visual maps of collaborative networks were created.
Results:
There is a statistically significant upward trend (P<0.05) in the number of articles published between 2013 and 2023. The USA, Italy, England, Spain, and Canada were the five countries with the highest output. Ranked by the number of PSA articles published in journals, the top five are: Journal of Rheumatology, Clinical Rheumatology, Rheumatology, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, and Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology. Rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, biologics, and epidemiology were the five most commonly used author keywords in the last decade.
Discussion:
Research on PSA has shown steady development from 2013 to 2023. High-income countries continue to dominate the field, which may be related to the level of economic development, medical resources, and health budgets. Articles published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases have garnered more attention from individual internet users. The research focus has centered on the differential diagnosis, pathogenesis, treatment, and prevalence of the disease during this period, while biologic therapy, complications, and quality-of-life management are emerging as key trends.
Conclusion:
The research for PSA has been rapidly developing. The study analyzes the global status of PSA, identifies research hotspots in this field, and provides guidance for future research.
