Summary

Minimally invasive surgical treatments (MISTs) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) show higher retreatment and medication reinitiation rates compared to traditional procedures like HoLEP/ThuLEP and simple prostatectomy up to 5 years. Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) remains common.
