Peripapillary intervortex venous anastomoses in central serous chorioretinopathy

Peripapillary intervortex venous anastomoses are more prevalent in central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) patients than healthy individuals. The Index of Vortex Anastomoses Number (IVAN) correlates with CSCR severity and clinical characteristics.

- The prevalence of these anastomoses correlates with clinical classifications of CSCR, suggesting a role in the disease pathophysiology.
