Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) drive resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in colorectal cancer (CRC). Modulating TAMs offers a promising strategy to enhance immunotherapy effectiveness for patients with proficient mismatch repair/microsatellite stable (pMMR/MSS) CRC.
