Abstract:
The BDS precise point positioning (PPP) service broadcasts state space representation (SSR) corrections via PPP-B2b augmentation signals. To maximize research potentials of the service, this study develops a first-ever BDS PPP-B2b augmentation dataset since January 2023, named BDSet. This dataset originates from PPP-B2b augmentation signals collected in Wuhan, China, and covers the processing flow of 'Raw data → Standardized data → Decoded data → Final products', i.e. raw data from receiving chip, standardized PPP-B2b augmentation messages, decoded PPP-B2b SSR corrections, and recovered PPP-B2b precise products which can be directly utilized in positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) applications. The developed BDSet has been continuously updating since January 1, 2023. The dataset in 2023, 2024 and 2025 occupies a storage memory of 142.7 GB, containing 255,405,156 PPP-B2b augmentation messages. Message amounts for BDS C59, C60, C61 and C62 satellites are 87,080,707, 80,148,878, 13,107,885 and 75,067,686, respectively. The developed BDSet provides a substantial data base for applications in GNSS PNT, geoscience, meteorology and so on. Meanwhile, the three-year dataset can better facilitate artificial intelligence (AI)-empowered BDS big data mining in the future.
