Abstract:
Induced-proximity dephosphorylation is a strategy that recruits phosphatases to target proteins for selective and reversible phosphate removal. This strategy enables context-dependent reprogramming of pathological phosphorylation with improved mechanistic and pathway specificity. In this forum article, we outline its mechanistic basis, summarize recent advances, and discuss emerging therapeutic implications.
