Abstract:
Ferrocene scaffolds with planar and central chirality are privileged motifs in enantioselective catalysis. Herein, we disclose a dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) strategy in which chiral allenes enable consecutive axial-to-planar and axial-to-central chirality transfer, allowing the construction of planar and central chiral ferrocenes in up to 80% yield and 96% ee.
